Jules + Les Lunes Wine

Design + Concept
BRIEF
As Jules, the now award-winning San Francisco pizza restaurant, prepared to open, they partnered with natural winemaker Les Lunes to create a proprietary red table wine. The wine is a Carignan blend that pulls from the past while feeling current. Owner Max Blachman-Gentile brought me in to develop the concept and design for the label.

According to Max, the inspiration for the atmosphere at Jules came from limited resources and wanting to create something that felt “lived in a little bit” He described it as “structured chaos,” with a nod to 1980s Pizza Hut interiors, but cooler. That same thinking went into creating the wine label.

I drew inspiration from vintage Pizza hut posters and classic pizza parlor interiors to balance nostalgia with modern restaurant branding, echoing both the character of the wine and Jules itself. What resulted was a label that played with the idea of the classic pizza saver and the name “Pizza Saver Table Wine”.
